The Mattydale Fire Department never had an apparatus built by KME and didn’t know very much about the company or the trucks they built. Eric Salisbury of Saulsbury-Davis Companies, the Sales Representative Organization for KME in Central New York, was influential in the choice for the Mattydale Fire Department to look seriously at KME as an ideal truck manufacturer. Eric worked closely with the members of the committee to guarantee that everything the department was looking for on the vehicle could be provided by KME and the truck would be built to spec from the beginning of the build process.

After a comprehensive bid process, KME was awarded the bid for 1 (one) pumper. Catherine Arthur was the Sales Engineer on the project. Any concerns during preplan and build were addressed quickly and efficiently, never saying that a change could not be made. From start to finish she proved that her overall knowledge of KME was extensive which put the Mattydale Fire Department at ease.
The truck has been delivered, and has been on several calls. The Mattydale Fire Department is pleased with performance as well as the attention the truck has received from the neighboring departments. It was clear that the department made the right choice. “The employees of KME should be proud of the product they are building.
